Indian Premier League ( IPL)

The Indian Premier League ( IPL) is a professional league for Twenty20 cricket competition in India. It was initiated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and supervised by BCCI Vice President Chirayu Amin, current chairman & commissioner of IPL, and CEO, Sundar Raman. In the fourth season 10 teams (franchises) contest, consisting of players from different countries. IPL was started on 2008. In the first three season 8 teams participated and in the fourth season teams from Pune and Kochi also will participate

First season- 2008 Indian Premier League
The inaugural season of the tournament started on 18 April 2008. The final was played in DY Patil Stadium, Nerul, Navi Mumbai Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings in a last ball thriller and emerged as the inaugural IPL champions.
Second season - 2009 Indian Premier League
The 2009 season , the venue was shifted to South Africa due to election in Indai. The format of the tournament remained same as the inaugural one. Deccan Chargers came out as eventual winners defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.
Third season-2010 Indian Premier League
The third season opened in January 2010. The final was played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Chennai Super Kings won by a margin of 22 runs.
Fourth season-2011 Indian Premier League
The fourth season of the IPL will starts on April 8 2011. New two teams form Pune and Kochi will be added to the IPL for the fourth season. The final will be on 28 may at Chennai.
